From November 4 to 6, the National Center "Russia" hosted the "Shaping the Future" International Symposium, which brought together scientists, researchers, futurists, writers, and government officials from 101 countries. Over 100 volunteers played a crucial role in assisting participants and facilitating the organization of dozens of sessions.
"The symposium marked the first major event at the National Center. We aimed to ensure that volunteers provided maximum support to participants. Additionally, their presence in the sessions has had a significant impact on the volunteers themselves—offering valuable new knowledge and practical experience," said Sergey Sokolov, Deputy Head of the Youth Projects Department at the National Center "Russia."
Alongside the volunteers, 30 volunteer program managers—students who excelled during the "Russia" International Exhibition-Forum—also contributed to the event's success.
The National Center "Russia" plans to develop a standardized framework for organizing volunteer programs at major national events. Future volunteers will be able to receive training at the center to hone skills for effective event support. Regional branches will also be provided with methodologies for coordinating volunteer activities.
The "Shaping the Future" International Symposium, held from November 4 to 6, features participants from 101 countries, including Russia, India, Italy, Iran, China, the UAE, Serbia, the USA, and France. The program includes sessions across four key themes: the future of humanity, the future of technology, the future of a multipolar world, and the future of civilizations. The schedule and live broadcasts are available on the official website future.russia.ru.
The symposium is the inaugural event of the National Center "Russia," established on July 1, 2024, by a directive from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The center aims to preserve the legacy of the "Russia" International Exhibition-Forum and showcase the achievements of the nation and its citizens. Federal government bodies, state-owned enterprises, corporations, and regional authorities actively contribute to the center's operations.
