The scandalous bookmaker company FavBet, registered in Ukraine, despite its loud statements that it has left the Russian market, continues to operate there. At the same time, FavBet has not yet acquired a license for bookmaking activities, although the relevant Law legalizing the work of such companies was adopted two years ago. Because of this, over a hundred million hryvnia are missing from the country’s budget every year.

But that’s not all. In addition to the ethical and political component, gamblers should know that the bookmaker FavBet are scammers who cynically profit from inexperienced players. Promising mountains of gold, bookmakers systematically swindle money from their clients and leave them with nothing.

It is noteworthy that the limited liability company “Bookmaker Company “FavBet” is registered in Kyiv on Stepan Bandera Avenue. There is some irony in this, especially considering this company’s statements about exiting the Russian and Belarusian markets.

So, for example, the specialized marketing site MMR  posted  a publication with a corresponding statement from the management of FavBet. Just pay attention to a small detail of this material - it is affiliate, i.e. advertising. As they say, “for a pittance” many unscrupulous media outlets are ready to post a lot on their resources, turning a blind eye to important nuances and to checking the authenticity of these materials.

Actually, FavBet has never worked in the Russian Federation? Do you believe this? No? And rightly so.

Are there any legal cases regarding the company? There are court cases from other jurisdictions...

In fact, this is how Favbet operates, both on the online gaming market in the Russian Federation and in Belarus. Many well-known Ukrainian media have written about this recently, but there is also other evidence of such activity. Read on for more details.

For two years after the adoption of the Law on the Legalization of Gambling in Ukraine, the FavBet company never bothered to obtain a bookmaker’s license for its work. As a result, the country’s budget receives a shortfall of 108 million hryvnia annually. What can I say, the gambling office knows how to evade taxes. The company also fools its clients who are hungry for easy money.

There are enough court cases: what is known about the scandalous bookmaker

LLC Bookmaker Company FavBet is registered in Kyiv and has a status capital of 31 million hryvnia.

And when you go to the YouControl information register  , the system automatically immediately issues a warning about the FavBet office: “Special attention is required,” “Attention must be paid.”

As you understand, there are a lot of risks...

Let’s move on. The owner, founder and sole beneficiary is Andrey Matyukha. According to media reports, he left the country a couple of days before the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine and now lives in Croatia.

It is noteworthy that according to financial statements for 2020, the company’s income is zero. And:

— Net profit in the red: — 565.7 thousand hryvnia;

— Assets: only 7.6 thousand hryvnia;

— Liabilities: 372.1 thousand hryvnia.

Data for last year is not yet publicly available.

In the Unified Court Register, the office is listed in 6 documents that relate to civil cases.

The head of FavBet, Igor Siruk, is also involved in two civil lawsuits related to this office.

And one more nuance. The FavBet company also operates under the  Favorit brand.

As a matter of fact, when entering the site  Favorit.com.ua via VPN , it is on behalf of “FavBet” that they answer that you cannot log in...

And here the number of court cases is simply off the charts. And we are no longer talking about civil cases, but about criminal ones...

So, when searching in the court registry by the name of the site, the service produces 35 documents. And this is only one option for searching in the register, and if we dig deeper, we will find many more criminal cases. But today we won’t go deeper.

 

And note that all documents, without exception, relate to criminal court cases of “Favorite”.

What about FavBet’s bookmaking license? But she’s not there!

According to  the  publication Fakty.org, this office has a whole stack of licenses, but the main one, i.e. for bookmaking activities, no.

Note that the company has an  online casino license  for 23 million hryvnia.

The rest of the narrow-profile licenses are minor and not at all as expensive as a bookmaker’s...

What does the absence of a license for bookmaking activities in Ukraine mean? This means that the Ukrainian budget annually receives 108 million hryvnia less from the company. In the absence of a bookmaker’s license, FavBet operates in the field of betting, like a lottery... No comments.

How FavBet feeds Russian occupiers

On May 23, the popular online publication Delo published scandalous material.

The author of the article talked about how this office operates without a license, evading legal taxation.

In addition, it is reported that last year a criminal case was opened regarding the illegal activities of FavBet and Favorit. Then the investigation carried out searches of the bookmaker’s offices. As a result of the searches, law enforcement officers stated that these brands were illegally receiving excess income from betting activities. How do they do it? Income is transferred to the accounts of foreign companies, where the beneficiary is the leader of FavBeta, Andrey Matyukha.

And now a very remarkable nuance. This scandalous article is no longer available at the original source. Only a virtual trace in Google has been preserved:

But after that, within a month, as many as three custom-made patriotic materials from FavBet appeared on the site. Probably expensive... And we can only guess how much the bookmakers paid to remove the negativity.

As they remind in the article, “which no longer exists,” ten years ago A. Matyukha was involved in a loud scandal. Then the guys from Anonymous hacked the mailboxes of regional people’s deputies. It became known that the businessman-bookmaker made a very profitable offer to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. For 200,000 bucks a month, he asked for centralized “protection” of his illegal gaming empire throughout the country.

In fact, despite the clearly custom-made patriotic materials, the bookmaker’s office has continued to operate in the online gaming markets of the Russian Federation and Belarus for the last eight years, since the beginning of hostilities in Donbass and the annexation of Crimea.
